The future

I don’t remember what I wanted to be when I was younger,  and then when I was in highschool I also didn’t know what I wanted to be but I knew I had to go to college no matter what.

I think in ten years I will be living in Chile, maybe in the south of Chile or maybe just in Santiago. I do want to travel and I hope that I do in the years to come but I don’t think I will be living in another country, I don’t know why but I just don’t see it happening.

What I think I will be doing is having my own shop where I will be selling my weavings and other handmade stuff, it could be a virtual shop or a real shop and hope I can live by doing that haha, but I think in reality is not very possible, but I can dream.

I think I will be sharing my life with a partner or if not with a cat, and with my family of course. I don’t really want to have children so I wouldn’t be sharing my life with them.

I hope by that time I will have graduate college and to have the shop I mention above and I don’t know what else.

I hope we see a lot of changes in the world but I don’t think ten years is enough time to change everything that is wrong with it. Maybe I want people to take more conscience with everything they do like, what they eat, buy, etc to think about where the things they buy come from and maybe that way we can make little but significant changes in the world.

Long Weekend

This weekend i didn’t do much. I just stayed at home because i got sick and i didn’t feel like going out ore ven take a walk.

To star the weekend on friday afternoon i went shopping with my best friend, but ended up buying nothing because my cellphone got stolen, i was pretty sad bacause my history with cellphones hasn’t been the best, and my father gave it to me not so long ago. So i went home phoneless and sick, a great way to start the weekend haha.

But then my boyfirend came to my house and watched a Mr. Robot marathon.

On saturday i wasn’t feeling great so i stayed in my pijamas all day, just chilling and doing some work for uni.

On Saturday i was feeling better so i went to persa Biobio, i like going there to and see all the things there are, and to get some food, usually i get some falafels. They were very good.
Yesterday i dedicated my day to spend time with my family and helped my mom cleaning the house. Then in the afternoon I  watched a movie, and at night i had to finish an assigmnent for Tuesday mornind so I satayed up late and went to bed around 2 a.m.

Classmate blog

I am going to talk about another classmate's blog today. Her name is Maria and she has written 7 posts. The design of the blog is very simple, but colorfull too. The background is a picture painted in watercolor with red, pink and orange shades. Then the posts are in a white rectangle with the letters in black and the titles in pink.
Not every post has a picture ,but some has more than one, in total there are 10 pictures and no video.

There is a post that she talk about the last movies she has seen. It is called Thelast movie I saw.It has 221 words in total, and i choose it because i wantes to know her opinion in the movies she watched.


Review of language

Well, hi everybody, today I will write about the last movies that I saw (ww). Like all(sm) know it(nn), this last month, the free time is too(ww) much, so my frequency in the(ww) cinema has increased. Also, much(ww) movies which it(nn) have been premiere, are my favorites movie(sp). So, my awareness say “We must watch this movie, now” and I am a person too(ww) impressionable.(we)

I think,(nn) three weeks ago, for my birthday with my sister, we went to watch X-men: apocalypses. And I must say, this movie it(nn) is so “cool”, maybe the story it(nn) is different to (sm) comic, but it is(nn) try(wf) to keep the essence of (sm) story. Also, the soundtrack I like too much.(we)

After the(nn) one week, with my other sister, we went to watch “Me before You”… and, I don’t know, the movie makes me laugh, but the other persons(ww) in the cinema are(wf) cry(wf) like a river, maybe I am not the most sensible person in the world, but the movie is(wf) not as sad as I thought.

And the last movie that(nn) I saw(ww), it(nn) was “Finding Dory”, this movie I LOVE IT(we)(nn), the little Dory it(nn) is so cute and her life is terrible, but I don’t(ww) comment about this movie, because I don’t want(sm) say(nn) spoiler of(nn) the movie. Well, that was it.

A beach

Well I have to say that is not that i don't like the beach but i'm not used to go very much and i really don't like going in the summer when it is all crowded, but i like going in the winter when no one is around.

I don't know if this counts but my favourite beach is a lake beach, Calafquén lake. I prefer it because the water is very calm and the sand doesn't get all over your body.

I used to go there every summer with my family, there are a lot of campings next to the lake so we stayed there and we could go to the beach all the time and when we wanted.

When I go there I just like to lie in my towell and listen to music or read a book, by the time I get hot I just go and swim in the lake. At night is fun to go and lie in the sand and watch the stars and shooting stars.

I have really good memories in that “beach”, maybe is not a real beach but is the one I like. It must be nice to go in the Winter also when it rains all the time.

I just like to go there every time i get the chance.

Piece of art

Today I am going to talk about a Chilean artist called Guillermo Lorca, anthe piece it's called "La casita de los dulces".

I saw it for the first time in an exhibition in the Museo Bellas Artes but I don't remember the date exactly. i knew Lorca's work because in Baquedano Station the are some portraits by him. I was really amazed by his work because i like how relistic he paints. So when i went to the exhibition I was more amazed by his paintings, they were all so beautiful and very nice, makes me want to paint like that.

This painting I like that there is a sweet and innocent girl, immersed in a bloody and cruel atmosphere, but then when you look deeper you realise that maybe she isn’t so innocent than you thought and that she had made all that cruel mess around her.

I know that there are a lot of realistic artists out there but I like him in particular, because he paints so realistic yet his pantings show something more of what would happen on a dreamlike.

He is well known now because of his undeniable talent, when he was not so famous he went to Europe to learn with Swedish artist Odd Nerdrum.

Song

The song I like at the moment is The less I know the better by Tame Impala.I think I heard it for the first time at the end of last year, when I found out that the band had a new album coming out.I really liked the entire album because I think it is a little different from the previous ones, but always mantaining their style.
Since then I always play the song and the album when I have to study or do another assigment.
I actually really like the band, I went to see them in 2013 when they came to Chile, but I didn't like the concert very much beacuse  I thought that the songs weren't played with the enthusiasm thet they deserved, it wasn't boring but also I think the crowd was more happy to be there than the band, it was a shame. Maybe it was that concert in particular, they were in Lollapalooza a few weeks ago and I heard that they were one of the bands who played there.
The video of the song is very interesting too, the song is about a guy who was left by a girl and can't get ver it, and then finds out that she is with another guy, so in the video the other guy is shown like a monster that doesn't leave the girl alone.

A photo

The photo i am going to talk about was taken in Valparaiso too, I think it was in Cerro Alegre but I can't remember surely, about one year ago.
Me and my boyfriend went for the day to go through Valparaiso, going up and down almost every hill, taking a lot of pictures. I had been before but only to Cerro Alegre that it is more turistic, so it was the opportunity to go over all the hills and have a great time.
I took a zenit camera so we couldn't see the pictures right away and when we developed the photographs we had a lot more fun lookind a them at the same time.
Because there is a lot of street art in Valparaiso, you want to photograph every corner and you want to make sure you went to every hill because you don't want to miss anything.
I like this photo in particular because i think it is funny that he is imitating the figure, and that he looks similar to it, with the glasses and everything.It is also fun to play with the figure and not just simply take a picture of it or pose next to it.

Place that i like

A place that i like to go is San Cristobal Hill. I go there with my best friend from highschool, i like going with her because i don't get to see her that much so is like the opportunity to catch up.

We made a deal last year that we have to go once a week, preferably on Saturday afternoon, but life happens and we haven't followed that very much haha, although we have gone a few times.

Once we get to the top almost every time we are dead so we need to sit down to rest a little bit, then we buy something to eat like cookies or a sandwich in case we didn't bring something with us, or we buy "mote con huesillo" if we are too thirsty.

The last time we went was probably in December of last year, sadly it is been difficult to keep the agreement happening, because my friend doesn't have much time now.

Subject i like

Right now what i like to study ad learn is weaving, i took a workshop of three classes and now i am obssesed.
I like doing it because i think is fun and very relaxing, also i like the designs you can create and all the color you can use and combine, i'm only a beginner but i really enjoy doing it.
I have learnt that patience is everything and that by doing something fast, you are not going to have a great result. Also you can have a great design but once you have started, you change things al the time, even the colors.
For me this is important because for a long time i wanted to leran how to do loom weaving, and i have watched tutorial s and everything but i didn't started until i went to the workshop, i think it was harder than i thought, but i think i you want to do something, just do it! :)

Architect i admire

The architect i am going to talk about today is Walter Gropius.He was an architect, ubanist and designer.
Gropius was born in Germany and was son of an architect.
He founded the Design School named Bauhaus in 1919, were the students were taught to use modern materials to createoriginal and functional objects, furniture and buildings. He was in charge of  the institution until 1928.
Then he continued his work, making big blocks of houses, because he thought that it was the solution to the social and urban issues.
In 1934 he left germany, because of the nazis, to England for three years before moving to the United States.
His work is known for representing the bauhaus style, because they are made with new materials that gives a modern look, wich was not known in that time.
The appearence are smooth and with clear lines and don't have ornamental elements that are unnesessary. He is the creator of the "international style" in architecture.
Some of his work are: The gropius House (Germany), Bauhaus School(Germany) and PanAm Tower (New York).
When i first hear about Gropius was when i had the History of Design class back in 2012 when i was in my first year of university, i remember i really liked that class beacuse the theacher knew a lot and he made the classes very fun.
I like this architect because of the simplicity of his work and because he tried to make everything ver functional.
